Although traditions differ, most retain a focus on the rhythms of nature, the symbolism of the seasons, and personal ritual practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although Wicca as an organized tradition is relatively recent, many of its practices are inspired by much older rituals connected to nature, the cycles of the seasons, the phases of the moon, fire, plants, and the idea of the sacred presence within nature. <a href=\"https:\/\/iuliavs.ro\/en\/ritualuri\/ritualurile-de-luna-plina\/\" data-type=\"ritualuri\" data-id=\"3310\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-woostify-primary-color\">fazele lunii<\/mark><\/a>, foc, plante \u0219i ideea de sacru prezent \u00een natur\u0103.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anthropologists observe that many pre-Christian cultures practiced seasonal rituals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>for the equinoxes,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the solstices,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>harvest time,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fertility,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or the beginning of a new cycle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within the sacred circle tradition, these moments are marked through simple rituals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>lighting candles,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>creating a ritual circle,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>meditation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>meditation,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the symbolic use of the elements\u2014water, fire, earth, and air.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Historian <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ronald_Hutton\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ronald Hutton<\/a>who studied the origins of Wicca, explained that this modern practice is a blend of European folk traditions, modern occultism, and the contemporary desire to reconnect with nature and ritual. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of the ideas that influenced the development of modern neopaganism were popularized in the 20th century by Margaret Murray, although many of her theories are now viewed critically by historians.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anthropologists also note that rituals connected to the cycles of nature have long helped people create a sense of rhythm, belonging, and continuity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps that is why so many people still feel the need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>to light a candle,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to write down an intention,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>to mark a Full Moon,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or to create a symbolic moment in a world that moves very quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not because the gesture itself \u201csolves\u201d everything, but because human beings have always needed symbols through which they could make sense of their experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 Is there a simple ritual connected to nature or a particular phase of the moon that feels meaningful to you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 Which season or time of year has the strongest influence on your inner state?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc49 Do you have a personal practice for marking the beginning or the end of an important cycle in your life?<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wicca &#8211;
